Daddies And Kids Outing

Eric organised a daddies+kids outing last Sunday to Jurong Safra Kidz Amaze.

Told Bea she is going out with the daddies and children, she hesitated a little initially. Told her the daddies going to bring the children to kids maze followed by ice-cream & mummies will join them for dinner. She then agreed to follow and look forward to it.

Requested DH to take some photos for me to do some blogging. He borrowed my Sony camera. As anticipated, the photos were blured with kids in action. There were a whole lot of photos that were over exposed. But its OK. Thanks Dear!

Followed by dinner at Wee Keong + Sally's place. Sally cooked curry, finger food, pizza and prata for us. We bought some sushi & toriQ.

RLe "Surprise" Visit

RLe came back for a short break. Supposed to meet up for dinner with some of the CG members before CG but somehow the heavy rain in the afternoon causes sleeping spell on Rovis & he couldn't wake up on time (jetlag). :)

Well, told them the friends are a little disappointed cos some of us actually took leave wanting to have a good catch-up with them.

In the end, they made their way to CG at 9.15pm giving everyone a surprise!? OK, I already know they were on the way cos they called me in the middle of CG asking me for directions.

We prepared some of Ps Kong & Ps Tan CDs for them to bring back to US. :)

Ikea Breakfast (April 2010)

Went for Ikea breakfast 2 weeks ago. We had new addition.. Gary+ML and Mervyn+Jenny from the West.

Many waited for the staff to heat up their Lo Mai Gai, DH said those at the back of queue will squeeze through so that they can get their hands on these. Taste is nice though a little oily.

US!

Kids tested their garden furnitures to ensure it has pass their quality check. :)

Time for . . . . . . IcE-cReAm!!

And us surrounding them to clean up any drip anytime.

3 daddies taking a rest, chatting.

3 kids left still enjoying their ice-cream.

Google & China

My brother set up a blog for Warren cos my SIL's family is in China. But ever since China block Google, he has also stop updating his blog. So thought I will post something once in a while.

1 week in Japan, thought he has grown taller again compare to the month that he was away.

Bea took these.

He is a big fan for grapes & he can eat faster than us adults.

Oh yes, he can call me 姑姑 now. :)

Tokyo Sea Life Park

Found these from Bea's camera. Some shots from a kid's eyes...

I think the place was 4x size of Singapore Underwater World. No wonder we need to sit to rest after the hours of walking.

Obviously, she can't be the camera man if she is in the picture. OK, she was angry & facing the wall. ;-p

Unpacking

Unpacked all the stuff the next day for washing & keeping. Bought some stuff from Japan. But not a lot as compare to other trips. Everything in Japan is simply VERY expensive except Daiso. So we ended up with a lot of yen back again. :(

Found this stirrer at Disneysea...

With a Mickey's head, couldn't resist not bringing it back. :)

Snacks for CG members, colleagues & families.

We collected stamps at different stations at Hakone to exchange for these souvenirs. The stamps & carrier featured 小天使. If you are around my age, you probably had watched this cartoon during childhood time.

Bea's artwork from Hakone

Stuff we bought from Daiso.

Bea was only allowed to buy 1 item at every place that we went.

For myself.

My collection!

Limited edition (Japan only) Agnes.b.

DH said he didn't buy anything for himself. :(

This post wrap up our trip in Japan. Gonna catch up with after Jpn blogging soon.

Japan Day 7 - Asakusa & HSH

Today is our last day in Japan, flying home tonight. :)

Today's itinerary is to go to Asakusa where there is a Nakamise shopping street to get traditional local snacks & tourist souvenirs and to see a popular Buddhist temple, Sensoji. We set off early, thinking we could get some food there. This morning, we took subway from another train station that is near to the hotel. A total of 3 stations near the hotel we had used.

But the shops were not open till 9am. But thank God we saw Denny's across the street.

The picture menu at Denny's is very appetizing.

And they even has the calorie for each meal printed right below the price (you can click on the picture to see).

Saw a rickshaw on the road.

Our breakfast is here...

Headed back to the Nakamise shopping street after breakfast. Some photos of the shops at the shopping street.

Found some cherry blossom trees next to the main temple. But this area is closed to visitors. Took some photos.

The entrance to the Sensoji temple. The place was full of joystick smoke & smell so the kids & daddies stayed outside while we went in to take a look.

Bad-luck fortunes are tied to this rack and left at the shrine.

Area to clean hands & rinse mouth before praying to their deities.

More cherry blossom pictures. :)

Construction netting that has a dragon picture painted. The exterior of the main temple is going through some renovation when we were there.

Lanterns on both sides before the entrance to the temple.

Walking out of Nakamise shopping street.

We headed back to Ginza for lunch and to do some last minute packing before check-out & taking taxi to Tokyo station.

Wanted to try the vending machine eating corner but it was crowded. Found another place across the street.

Check-out from hotel. Due to some hip-cups here & there, we were running a little late to catch the train. The last 10mins, we were literally running with our luggages to the train platform and arriving just 3 mins before the train arrived. Thank God we made it on time!

At the airport, relaxing with some food & drinks.

On flight ready to take off. :)

Bea's kids meal.

This trip is basically revolving around the 2 girls, most of the itineries are planned in such a way that they will enjoy in one way or another. Since stuff in Japan is not cheap, our itinerary has the minimum shopping time. :)

Before I wrap up the Japan trip blogging, just some of those vending machines we found along the way, nothing special though.
