With Jen's help, went to hunt for prepaid data sim for my iphone. Googled results tell me that it is much cheaper to get a prepaid local sim than to get bridge data roaming service which cost SGD60 for 5 days. Paid THB100+490 for a 30 days 1GB data cap plus 10hr wifi from TrueMove which work out SGD24. The data sim comes with free incoming calls so DH can call me too, cheaper than calling my Singapore line. The only thing about getting a local sim card is a need for 2 phones so that my Singapore number can still be contactable.
