Surprise Visit!

We had a surprise visit from my in-laws on Sunday afternoon!

The door bell rang, I thought it was the lady who was supposed to come & collect the milk powder (sold Bea's last tin of milk powder since she no longer drinks it). I opened the door & saw my in-laws, shocked!

I didn't take the keys to open the gate for them. Instead, I went to the room and wake Brian from his nap! I told him, "your parents are here, I didn't open the door for them!" Then I added, "I dunno where is the keys." My mind was blank!

This was one of those days that we decided to stay home to tidy up the house & store. I We have the habit of piling up tonnes of stuff/rubbish onto the empty shelves in the store, in our study room and on our dining table. And it normally takes us very long to fix a day to tidy up. So you could imagine the house was in a big mess when they came. My PIL must be thinking this DIL is so lazy & messy!

So we end up joining them for dinner which was not part of our plan. My MIL made a remark at my BIL which I was not pleased. Well, she may made the same remark on us one of these days.
