Walda, My Niece

Walda, my niece, the new addition to the family. Borned on 26-08-2010.  Today the family celebrated her first month.  As usual, we had buffet from Neo Garden.

Was busy catching up with my cousins during the lunch, didn't managed to take out my camera to snap any photos till majority of the guests had left.  These are all I have with the few guests left.

My dad with Walda. My mum commented, this is a rare sight, only seen these few years.  According to my mum he don't carry my brother & I when we were infants. But he will make a point to carry his grandchildren.

Electric Shock!

As what the title stated, we had it happening right at our home last night!

Beatrice was happily sitting on my bed listening to children church latest album on my iphone.  I was in the toilet doing my business when it happened, so was Brian.  The light went off, I thought Beatrice swtich off my light but I didn't heard any clicking sound.  The next thing I heard she was crying outside, I thought it was due to the blackout.

Came out, checked the circuit box, electricity back up.  Went to the room to check on Beatrice.  She told me that she wanted to switch on daddy's reading light & she showed me her little finger that was red & slightly swollen.

Thank God for His protection on Beatrice!  The circuit dropped shortly after she poked her finger inside which causes the sudden blackout.

That lamp switch has been spoilt for about a year.  She don't usually go to that end of the bed so it was not an urgency for us to get it change.  This accident clearly BANG! me on my head to get things fix up at home & not wait for my dear husband.  There is a loose wall socket in Beatrice's room, I better do something before I regret.

Brave Beatrice

See the red patch on her face? According to the teachers, they didn't saw the incident. However, they gathered the story from the children that were sitting around Beatrice.

So this is the children version story. She was climbing up the chair, trying to get Raenen's attention (Beatrice said she was sitting at the back & can't see the front). While waving to get Raenen's attention, she lost her balance, fell & knocked onto the chair in front. She didn't cried, probably knew that she had done something that is not right. She stood there SUCKING her thumb instead. Guessed it was painful, she dare not cry so she sucked her thumb to get some comfort.

Mid-Autum Festival (2010)

Brian was in reservist, met up with the cousins at AMK to bring the kids for a walk in the park with their lanterns.

Too tired?

Full moon

We passed by a shelter full of aunties & uncles and they gave the kids 2 sparkles stick to play.  They were afraid of the fire initially, Beatrice then wanted to try holding it for the 1st time.  They got excited & wanting to play more.  We travel back to my aunt's place to play with the pack that she had bought for the kids.

2nd half of sparkles stick.  My aunt was sharing the one that she bought produce less smoke compare to the earlier one that they played at the park.  And of course it was slightly more costly.

After a while, they started swinging the stick.  We warned them not to or we will have to stop the play before it hurt someone.

Another nice shot.  Vivien was holding 1 stick but it created a nice sparkles.

Childcare Photoshoot (2010)

Today Beatrice's school is doing their annual photoshoot. They are to dress nicely & bring a favourite toy along for individual shots, to help feel at ease.

The night before, Mummy helped her to wash her doll's clothing & dam wipe her doll to make it look cleaner. She hold on to this doll to sleep every night.

The Song family has bought their permanent place and they invited us to their present place for a curry prata party before they move out.

The kids get to swim before the dinner and I get to swim my laps too. :)

CHCC's Cooking Mama

Children Church's electives for the month of September.. Cooking Mama. Since it's near to Mid-Autum Festival, the kids get to make their own snowskin mooncake.

Beatrice has been faithfully eating her own mooncake almost every night, not willing to let her dad eat when he ask for a piece to share.

We had dinner together with my cousins & families after church service at East Coast Seafood.
