Happy Birthday Singapore

A group of us gathered at Mervyn & Jenny's place to celebrate Singapore's Birthday. :)

Swimming is great for a hot afternoon. The floor was so hot it was unbearable walking around barefooted.

Totoro Boxes

Nothing special about this entry.

Just wanted to show my jigsaw puzzle empty boxes before I throw them away.

Billy Display

That evening, we went to my in-laws place to clear the boot and we went back to Ikea to get the billy bookcase and glass doors. The bookcase measured 202cm long, laid flat from front passenger seat to end of boot. :)

The bookcase cost $79 but the glass door cost double of bookcase. Took me a while to set up this bookcase, was stuck with the glass door. First time fixing a door and was wondering hard why can't I get the hinge screw in as indicated on the instruction. Only to realise that the glass has a protection panel & I didn't remove it after like 30min? Anyway was happy with my accomplishment.

Beatrice say mommy is "Handy Mandy". :)

Brian move his lego cranes in shortly after setting up. I was already tired with the set-up and decided to do it another day.

Thursday night, Brian volunteered to help me display my Totoro collection. Thanks Dear!

We added Beatrice mask & cup that she made in Japan few months back.

No more room for expansion. But Ikea have another bookcase half of this width which we can add for expansion in future.

Empire State

08-08-2010

A busy Sunday. We went to Ikea for breakfast, followed by getting some stuff for our home. Went home changed and we were off to Bugis to get party stuff for Beatrice's birthday.

Went to Empire State for a late lunch and wanted to celebrate DH's belated birthday. By looking at the display of a king kong on the Empier State building, DH thought it should be somehow child friendly with kids meals.  However he was wrong, no kids meal on menu.

Their mushroom soup was nice, thick with many tiny chopped mushroom.  The serving is big like normal american portion, however our fish fillet was not fully cooked, a portion of flesh looked raw.  Reported to the staff and we waited while they cooked another new plate for us.
