Mother's Day 2009

Saturday evening, we wanted to have dinner together.. just the 3 of us. Then to visit my MIL since the latest we heard is the dinner on Sunday has been canceled. But it didn't turn out as planned.

We had a 'big bulb' at dinner place. Didn't get to take a pic of the family. Anyway we heard that Sunday dinner is still on.. need to change our plan again.

Sad to say Sunday dinner was not a pleasant one. Trice just woke up from her nap, refused to eat or even sit on her own. Then of course, there were some 'black' faces due to the unhappiness arrangement for the dinner. ~Sigh~




Sunday morning.. I woke up, bathed and ready to go, leaving Brian to do the rest for Trice. hahaha...

So this is DH bathing Trice. See how happy is my daughter. :)


We then went to Vivocity for some shopping. DH requirement for shopping, to rest every 2 hours for either coffee break or meal. So here we are, sipping our cappuccino at Gloria Jeans. They were having morning promotion $2.50 for a cup of cappuccino. They had another afternoon promotion $5 for any blended coffee or something.

While I was shopping, Trice saw this giant Levi's shoe. She almost "tear down" the barricades.

Robbery?

This is the mess we saw when we came home after service. My mum was complaining she kept going to the bathroom to play with water wash her hands, clean the vanity top.

We left her to rest at home with my mum. She had fever on Friday.

Is this flower for Mummy?

Found this craft in her bag on Friday evening. Slipped my mind it's mother's day & didn't asked her much about the craft.



So she took it, moulded it, sticked the plasticine onto our framed photos etc.


Saturday after service, I remembered & asked her when we got home. She said no, the craft is not for me. And she pushed the blame to her daddy who has told her to throw away the destroyed craft that morning. :(

Fake Crocs

This is her pair of fake crocs which I bought for her during our last KL trip in Dec 2007.

And it still fit her. She now wear to school almost every other day. This is the amount of dirt she brings home at the end of the day. So mummy has to wash her sandals almost everyday.

Personal Tutor?

Was chatting with a friend few days back & learnt that he had hired a tutor for his child who is not even in primary school yet. I was shocked... speechless...!!

Enrichment class like phonics & arts are common. Some pre-schools properly doesn't emphasis a lot on phonics so parents send their children for additional classes. And if I have the spare cash, I won't mind sending Trice for arts stuff.

Sad to say, I've never like the idea of tuition since young. OK, I was lazy, I dislike doing additional worksheets on top of school work. Properly that's why I'm only an average student. For twice, my parents hired tutors to teach me but I gave up before the teacher gave up on me :).

Do I really need to be a 'typical' parent to hire a tutor for Trice in the future?

Running Water

Stepped out from the bathroom and heard the sound of running water... checked out the kitchen & I saw this...




Beatrice playing with water helping to wash her cup! Clothes wet. I wonder how long she has been washing since I went to take my shower.

Where is DH? Busy paying tithe online. Man can only do ONE thing at a time. He didn't even heard the running water from the living room! Argh!

Mommy: "Trice, closed the tap & pull the chair back now."
Trice: "Mommy, I'm washing my cup."
Mommy: "Enough of your washing, you are also wasting a lot of water. Do as I say now!"

Ms Pinky

Trice is into pink colour. As long as she could find pink clothing in her drawer, she would want to wear it.

This pants was for 12-18mths, her bd gift from my aunt & she is still wearing it.. as 3/4 pants.

Sunday - 3 May 2009

A day spent at Marina Sq. The crowd at Marina Sq was quite miserable for a Sunday afternoon. Some shops were closed/moved out, reduced in area. Probably the management had adjusted the rental recently.

This has been our frequent hang-out place since we have Beatrice. Simply cos it's not as crowded as Orchard area & it's even more convenient to reach here now with the KPE/Buangkok Dr. entrance/exit, it's just 15min drive away.


She was happy with her accomplishment.. to be able to hold food with chopsticks.

Had dinner with my in-laws for mother's day at Toa Payoh Park, Oasis Taiwan Porridge Restaurant. These are photos after the dinner where the rest had left. Cos I was having a super bad headache before this and the panadol effect has just kicked in.. feeling much better.

Training Chart

Introduced Trice to toilet training chart. Still not quite right. She is only diligent for passing urine which she already pick it up from school. But for passing motion, she will wait till we changed her to pj & diaper then she start her business.

And for past few days, diaper seem to become her sense of security? She will ask us to put on diaper for her when we go out, in the car etc etc. She would whine if we refuse to. ~Sigh~

Dad's Birthday cum Mother's Day

Dad highlighted that this week is his birthday.. so we brought him to Jumbo for a dinner on Friday night. And at the same time for coming mother's day too.


Waren waiting patiently for food to arrive.


Errr.. Trice is drinking Waren's milk in his milk bottle!! Trice just woke up from her nap & is hungry and Waren refused to drink his milk since he sees FOOD. OK, mommy didn't bring milk for Trice as I doesn't like the idea of her drinking milk when it is suppose to be meal time.


Happy time after a filled stomach. Trice eat solid food in the end cos the milk taste different from hers.

Round & Round

After CG, DH suggested to have a cup of coffee. Went to Guthrie House at 5th Ave, 1st time there.

May Day CG

The men in the CG were in church having their manhood meeting while the ladies & chidren have our CG at Jenny's house. Jenny prepared pasta lunch for everyone.
