FOP 2008
Trice sharing her snack with Rae at the playgroup. Sad to say I didn't catch the service as Trice was sticky to me and she was wild with the big space.. running everywhere.. no one was able to stop her. I gave up in the end.
While waiting for DH to finish serving after service, we have a little kiddy ride at the Kallang entertainment centre.
Public Transport
At last I have some time to update the blog after 3 long weeks. But there are too many outdated posts, bear with me a little, it will probably take me another 2-3 days to finish blogging. So here we go...
As requested by my mum, she wanted me to apply for a day leave so that she can prepare food for the guests for my nephew's baby shower tomorrow.
So thinking that since she is preparing food, we should be able to get some free lunch from her place. Happily took a bus together with Trice to her place. When we arrived, she told us she didn't cook. :( So we end up eating instant noodles. Took a nap there before we make our way to Rae's school to take a look and to meet up with the person in-charge.
Planning to place her in childcare next year so I guess it's time to start searching.

Trice caught the cold virus from DH last week. Not been able to rest well last week. She is recovering well now. So I should be back to update the blog soon. :)
Bottles
While waiting for DH to finish work, went shopping @BHG. Saw these bottles that catches my eyes & decided to buy them home.. one for each family member.
I drink 2L of water a day. Dislike DH drinking my water every Sunday so decided we should all have our own bottles of water. :)
Nigel's Birthday 08
Attended a party last Saturday. I think she was used to CG's children party whereby she gets to stand on the chair and be part of the star. She insist to stand on the chair and even wanted to cut the cake! We told her she can do it during her birthday next month but she simply ignore us. ~sign~
DH's Dark Circle
I thought I wanted to blog this before I forgets. DH told me after service that his usher ministry friends said that he has darker circle around his eyes compare to 2 years back? OMG!! Hello... usher friends out there... are your sure, did you remember correctly?? Brian don't usually need to wakes up in the middle of the night to take care of her daughter.

DE's Wedding
Boss' daughter's pre-wedding dinner. Liqun is getting marry in Oct in UK but leaving this week to settle down. So they had a pre-wedding dinner for the relatives and friends last evening. Since it was a Sunday evening, the dinner commence and ended early. As usual, brought stuff to keep Beatrice occupy. And she was good, she stay in her high chair throughout the dinner till she was tired during the last 2 courses.
Elin brought her twins along. I think it's her first time bringing them out to a function.
Oh and that's is my birthday present from DH, a dress from Warehouse. :)

The 3 of them had fun running and screaming when the rest of the children had left after service. Most of the time, it's Ethan & Bea having fun after service. I wonder how will Trice feel after Ethan leave for US.
An Expensive Lesson!
We have been using a part-time domestic cleaner since after CNY. She comes once every fortnight.
Not long after she started, I found a bottle of hand soup missing. But since its so cheap, I thought its was OK.
Beginning of June, I found 2 Kipling bags missing, 1 original & 1 fake. But I couldn't confirm whether if I had throw them away accidentally while packing my bags. But as I recall, I don't remember throwing away bags recently. So the more I suspect is the domestic cleaner.
Until yesterday while keeping the dong currency left from the recent trip, I found our S$, US$, RM and even Dong missing. Checked my jewelery, don't think anything was lost. But not sure about any other things. Can't possible finish checking everything & remember every single thing that we have.
So this morning, we went to lodge a police report. Called up the registered company & ask for immediate termination. We thought it was ok to leave a set of keys with the domestic helper like many other company practice since it is a registered company & we have got the particulars of the cleaner. The cash were actually lock with keys hidden within the clothing. ~sign~

DH's Birthday '08
CG celebrated DH's brithday together with Christal & Ashley.
For ourselves, we didn't had an expensive dinner. DH had a thai express voucher for his birthday so we just head down to Serangoon Garden branch to enjoy a meal. We also had a free red wine from them. Forgot to bring my camera out yesterday so no picture.
Didn't bought too fancy stuff for DH this year. Reason being I'd bought a Montblanc wallet during Valentine but he use it for display till I decided to throw away his old torn wallet last week! Anyway I think he need some home clothing and a belt pouch for work more than any other things.
JG L4 - Swimming
Forgot to bring my camera, this is the best pictures I can capture using my mobile phone. Told her in the morning that she will get to swim after the lesson. She was excited since she likes swimming and she has been talking about it the whole day at home.
Rained a little in the afternoon. Was hesitating whether to let her get into the water. But since some of the parents still went ahead to let their children play in water, I thought I should just let her enjoy also.
Little Helper
Beatrice has been a little helper at my mom's place since the arrival of my nephew, Warren. She will help to take the diaper, powder, comb & etc for my mom. And she knows exactly what she needs to pass to popo at each stage.

Ants!
My colleague, Lilie has this kind heart that she dislike the idea of killing creatures around her. Even at home when she wipe the table, she will avoid wiping the ants out.So since she join our office, she has been keeping ants in her cubicle! The other day, another colleague went out for meeting without washing her mug and ants came for a great feast. So I pour water into the mug to kill them. Guess what Lilie say? "Are you going to hold a wake service for my ants?" ~faint~
Brushing Teeth
When she sees me brushing my teeth, she would request to brush hers too.
Is she left-handed? Does children all start holding stuff with their left hand? For now, she is able to use both hands to do stuff but more often with the left. Sometimes, I will ask her to use her right hand instead.

Debbie & Jezelle 1st Birthday
We had a combined CG last night and a little celebration for the 2 young ones.
This time round, we try to take pictures of 11 children coming together. Not an easy task at all! The background was basically full of adults voices. So I decided to put together the process of getting one by one together to take a group photo. :)

Dawn was suggesting years down the road when the children grow up, we should get them together to take another group photo. Hmmm.. I think if we can organise some special outing, maybe we can get some respone from them since by them they will probably be in their teens and have their own circle of friends. It's a great idea to give a try.

Sweater
After a busy week, we took our naps and went out for dinner at J8 Mos Burger. Bea insist that she wanted to wear her sweater but it's so hot inside.. we were sitting below halogen lightings.

Went to visit my SIL on Friday. Gabby & Bea were too excited, screaming and laughing as they run. We couldn't stay for long cos there was another patient in the ward.
Soccer Fans
Another 24 hours kopitiam open at Buangkok. This one has an area dedicated for soccer fans, look at the ceiling.
Now we have the 24 hours NTUC and 2 kopitiams all located within our reach. Food & more food.. Yummy!!
Last Week
Dawn's dad went home with the Lord last Tuesday. During the memorial service on Friday, I recalled the trip we made to KL last December. We took the coach together to KL & we met again for dinner on the 3rd day. When he chat with his children/grandchildren, you could see his loving eyes expressing his love to them. Bea sat on his lap when he offer to give her carrot cake while I can go to the toilet. Dawn.. didn't meant to make you cried on Friday.
On Thursday morning, I received the news that my 大姑 passed away. I just saw her on Tuesday night, she was still able to walk down the stairs with the help of the maid, we even say hi & bye to her. It was quite a sudden death, none of us were mentally prepared for it. Though she has been sick since ending last year but the doctors says she can recover, it will take about a year to heal. So everyone of us were actually looking forward to her recovery.

PlayClub
We have finally decided to sign her up for the JG playclub. We noticed she is getting a bit bored at my mom's place at times. But since both of us are working on Sat, we could only sign her up for the evening class.
Ho Chi Minh City
Last week we went to Ho Chi Minh City together with the colleagues & bosses in my office. This is actually my office incentive trip for the staff. Since both myself & DH has been paid for by my office, I seek management consent to bring my mom along. Well, don't get the wrong idea, it is not for my mom to go there to "work" for me. From the previous trip, already know that Bea will stick to me if I'm around. So it's for her to enjoy the trip also.
First 2 days were basically sights seeing, learning about their history, guided by the tour guide there. Last 2 days were F&Ez for us to explore the city on our own & do some shopping.
That's Bea with Audrey, they are actually 2 months apart.
The Vietnamese people have healthy lifestyle. Every morning & evening, you can find a lot of people exercising in the park. We had 8 course dinner, mixture of Vietnamese and chinese food. Their food is also healthy. If its a deep fried dish, the quantity is one for each person. If it's a healthy dish, you can actually have 3-4 servings. We had 2 soup & 2 salad for a 8 course lunch on day 2. That explain why they are all so slim. :)
By 2nd day, I can actually enjoy the trip better as Bea will look for the older children in the group.. that's WenQi & JinLing with Bea.. they will sing for her, make funny actions, hold her hand to walk together.
On the free day, with the help of Jennifer's cousin who work there, we actually had a driver + mini van to bring us around.

Just now my colleague & I were munching on junk in my cubicle. My boss happened to passed by, pointed a finger at us & commented "stop eating, fattening".

Father's Day 2008
With the help of mommy, Bea did this paper plate photo frame for DH. And I bought this cap for him knowing that all his existing ones were from his Oregon days.
DH does not know that I had prepared his gift so while shopping one day, he asked to buy a pair of slippers for him for coming father's day. So to add on, I decided to buy a pair for myself & Bea since I do not have a comfort shoe for this coming weekend.

Orchardmile 2008
An eventful morning! 7 of us signed up for the orchardmile and we brought along our children for the walk. With our husbands support via Mcdonalds breakfast fellowship at Plaza Sing.

At the end of the walk, all participants were given a medal (incl children) so here is the children with their medals for completing the walk. We were waiting for the train to head back to Dhoby Ghaut to collect the goody bag and meet up with the guys.

Buckle Up Doll
Vina bought this doll for her during Christmas. Last week, she wanted to bring her along for "gai gai". And she placed her doll together with her behind the hardness and said seat belt. So I ask her if the doll need to buckle up too? She said yes.

Playgroup (Part 2)

For the past 1 week, we have been telling her that when she is angry, she cannot bite other children. And DH even told her that if she is good in playgroup, he will bring her to vivocity waterplay.
The teacher said she was good, she didn't bite anyone. And I was happy I was able to enjoy service like last week, sitting at the cafe listening to the sermon.
They were having snacks when the service ended.
So as promised, DH brought us to vivocity after service for her waterplay and at the same time we met up with Ana & family. This is Bea trying to put the coin into the kiddy ride.

Tent & Tunnel
I have been wanting to buy a tent & tunnel for her since she was 1 year old. Read from some of those review that children enjoy playing in it. Those that I found over the web were expensive but it comes with ventilation at the tent top & nice pictures printed. Received a voucher from ToysRus so decided just to go for what I can find in the store which is plain colours with no ventilation/
Anyway, I'm glad Bea did enjoy playing with it especially the tunnel.

I had a chance to sneak out when the children starts to clean up the toys for their music & movement session. And I was staying outside the door for a whole 60 min while pastor was preaching, happily listening to the sermon & observing Bea from the glass panel. Good thing was the teacher was able to distract her a few times when she was looking for me. But the bad thing was she bite a girl again when she, the girl & Ethan were quarreling over some markers or toys I think. ~Sigh~ When can she learn that it is wrong to bite.. Arrh!!
Took these after service when I went in back to the playgroup.

My Roof
Been busy again, preparing for a coming tender. But this is not the stressing part yet.
My ongoing project, I think the roof might be "collapsing" soon! Last week, went to site to find out that it was constructed not according to the design intent. Arrh!! How to justify on paper?
Wanted to ask my boss for rescue but my colleague said boss' face is not just black, it's BURNT for the past 2 weeks.
Will be back to blog with Bea's pic soon... ya soon after I clear this part.. can't sleep well past few days.

Orchardmile & Shaperun
Yes, I have signed up for the 2 runs to motivate myself to exercise & to trim my extras. :)
One of my goal this year is to get back to shape, not just pre-pregnancy weight but pre-wedding weight.. haha! Very high goal indeed & sometimes I will wonder if I am going to make it ultimately. I have break down to 2 smaller goals, 5 months to pre-preganacy weight, another 7 months to pre-wedding weight. Started right after CNY, as of May, I have hit my pre-pregnancy weight. So to encourage myself I decided to blog it down. Still cannot see a diff in picture, so no photo.
As of last night, I have completed 4.6km run & walk for the coming 5km shaperun. Surprisingly no aching today as compare to past 2 weeks when I had only completed 3.4km.
Stress is my "killer" cos I tend to snack on junk foods & not just chips, chocolate is my best stress reliever.. yummy! ;p
