Mommy's Birthday
Enjoyed the evening time spent with DH and DD. At least he make an effort to go Orchard to fetch me, then to AMK to fetch Beatricem, then back to Orchard to enjoy our dinner and dessert.
Was a little disappointed with DH excuse for not making an effort to take half day off to spend time with me. Then another excuse that I have high taste so he didn't prepare any gift for me. To me it's all EXCUSES!
But he did make it up 2 weeks later after I told him I'm going to blog it down. Haha.. we went shopping together and he got me 2 gifts instead.
Carrot Cake
Can you believe it, she is eating carrot cake with chilli! She didn't even complain its spicy or her face turns red due to the chilli. Haha... like mommy huh?
Soft Toys
One of mommy's favorite cartoon character. I put a mickey/minnie mouse everywhere... in my mom's home, the car, our home.
Everytime she sees them, she will smile at them.. so sweet.

Engineer? (OT)
I am getting real impatient with the new site engineer, he is really getting on my nerves. He called 1st thing in the morning, giving us a list of things that he need for the day casting. And the phone calls doesn't end there, he will continue calling every hour until the issues are cleared. Wrong Wrong Wrong!!! Any site issues should be cleared before he even issue the drawings to his sub-con.
Certain issues we tried to explain to him it's the wrong way to solve the problem etc, but he keep telling us it can be done. There are times when I got really piss off, I ask him if he is an engineer with proper cert, does he really know about engineering. He can tell me yes and continue asking me to follow his way.
Last Thursday night, I was rushing another project, trying to finish it so that I can rush off for CG. He called up at 6.02pm asking me to clear an issue on site so that casting can be done. I told him his proposal is not acceptable and he continue explaining for next 15 min that it can be done. I was so piss off I even apologise in advance that I'm going to hang up the phone & he can tell my/his boss that Iris don't allow them to do the casting.
Thank God for my boss and his understanding boss. I explained the issue to both of them and both agreed the casting for that small area to be put on hold until issue iron out. There was once my colleague told him "hello, Iris doesn't sit in the office just to solve your problems, she has other projects to do". That was when I was out for meeting and he kept calling non-stop. hahaha

I Don't Think She Is Naughty
How many times do I have to keep reminding DH not to scold Bea naughty but to explain things to her. We do not need to follow our parents method of scolding their children... us! I also need to tell him not to pick up the double words (钱钱.. money, work work etc) from our parents & repeat it to Bea, speak the proper sentence. Isn't this what we learn about parenting?
IMM Coffee Club
Has been very busy at work, preparing drawings for this week presentations, no time to blog. It's for our children, MOE is building indoor sports hall for most of the schools in Singapore. We are one of the consultant for phase 1, boss is trying out for next few phases also.
We met up with FL & family for lunch yesterday at IMM before they set off for home. While Beatrice was taking her nap, we decided to take a break & enjoy a cup of coffee. The manager was very kind and told us they have a corner couch that we can rest & park our stroller, the best part is we were the only customers for that section.
Last Night CG
Yesterday was a reunion for the children in the CG. Yes, we are a family friendly CG. Most of us are married with children. Was just making a quick calculation, we have 19 adults and 10 children... parent:children ratio 1.9:1. 1 more addition this coming July. Hmmm.. the adults.. we need to grow in numbers also.
Beatrice was quite cranky yesterday evening due to insufficient nap during the day. So decided to stay in the room with the rest of the children instead of disturbing the CG members. While in the room watching the children play... got Denise to snap a few photos of the children.
Oh... Eunice and Christal were not in the picture, they were with their parents during the CG.

Swim Wear
At last we decided to buy her a swim wear. Camera battery runs low yesterday, this is the only photo taken. She was excited the moment she sees the pool and the children, smiling all the way and wanting to go towards the direction of the pool.
But I was quite frus with some comments while feeding Bea after the swim. She was hungry and she was fussy that the food is taking a while to reach her stomach. And the voice behind was asking if the food is too hot for her... is it too dry... maybe she is thristy... see she is naughty blar blar blar...
I had already mentioned to DH that I just want a swim with just him & Bea but the message just didnt get into his ear.
Getting Ready to go Church
Dressed up for service. While waiting for uncle Mike to come & pick us to Motherhood fair, mummy decided to take a few quick snaps.
Happy Crawling
When Bea has not started crawling, I always talk about why she is not learning to crawl like other babies, is she too lazy etc. Now that she is crawling, DH ask if there is anyway to confine her in her play area, she is crawling all over the house... haha.
A Short Trip to KL
At last, I got my passport stamp again. The last time was our honeymoon 2 YEARS ago. Every trip that I have in mind with DH always got to drag for so long, including our honeymoon.
Anyway, we brought Beatrice to KL for a long weekend to visit some friends and to relax. Since it's the first time travelling with Beatrice, we decided to stay at Corus Hotel where Aeroline service centre is located.
YES, she can crawl! We make her crawl on the lounge table in the coach, on the hotel bed... haha... that's how she started her crawling. Slow but steadily, yesterday she crawled to disturb uncles & aunties during CG.
Brought Beatrice to the Aquaria, KLCC. She was happy watching the fishes swimming around. Why so little pictures? Ask Mr Chng! And meeting up with friends. Sorry FL, forgot to take picture of the children together. 
She was totally knocked out after our meeting with FL & family. While waiting for the coach, a little enjoyment for the 2 of us. A good experience travelling with the little one.
Bottle Feed
Beatrice drinks bottle MM when I'm at work. But when I'm around, she refuse the bottle. She will only take bottle if it is fresh from pump. And she says NO to formula milk. I was still having hard time giving her bottle 3 weeks ago at a wedding dinner. Last week I started giving her formula during the night feed. To my surprise she did not resist, she even finish drinking. No more excuse for DH!
She has better appetite for solid food now.
She has also show some improvement of better sleep at night. She can go back to sleep on her own if she wakes up in the small hours.

My Neighbor Totoro
A little about this blogskin. This is my favorite movie of all time. I got to watch this movie back in 1992. Since then, never get tired watching it over and over again. I have a small collection of jigsaw puzzles, soft toys, stationery & etc.The director of this movie, Hayao Miyazaki is one of the greatest animator and director in Japan. My Neighbor Totoro is still one of the greatest art piece he has ever done.
He also has a animation studio in Japan, Studio Ghibli where he has directed, written and produced many other films. Some of his other films include Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso, Kiki's Delivery Service, Laputa: The Castle in the Sky & Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind.
Japan is one of the dream country which I want to go for holiday. Given a chance, I would like to add on to my collection and visit the Studio Ghibli.
Swim with Mommy
Yesterday, Beatrice had a swim with Raenen again. This time the mommies were together in the pool. Got DH to take photos of me & Beatrice... ~sign~... he & his skill... took so many photos but only this one looks nice, the rest either eyes closed or blur.
As usual, Bea was excited splashing & kicking water and happy to be with Rae. They had a long 45 min swim. Rae caught a cold last night & Bea has a running nose this morning. Think we let them played for too long in the water. Got to cap at 30 min max the next time.

Chins
These were taken 2 years ago in my room at my mum's place.

Few years back, Chu Chu came in second in the chins competition held in Singapore by Chinchilla Club. Back then, I was an active member in the club. As chins were not easy to survive in topical weather like Singapore, many chins had passed away since then & many owners had gave away their chins. Today, not many chins are left in Singapore. And probably I had one of those oldest chins.
My chins used to live in very good life, they have good quality food which I used to shipped in from US, stayed in air-con room, drink distilled water. The pictures above is actually their small little room which I had specially created for them. Now they have been downgraded to living in a ventilated kitchen with occasional air-con during playtime.
Fun Time Together
Reanen has gone to school for 2 weeks. Saturday afternoon, they came together at popo's house to play. Beatrice was so excited to see Raenen, she was jumping with joy. The first thing Rae did was to give mei mei a hug. Without anyone saying, Rae shared his car with mei mei.
And their fun time together... both of them enjoyed each other's company.
Crawl?
Is this the sign of crawling? She can only do this for now, still cannot move her legs and hands foward.
Shake Head
One of Beatrice's new skill. She will even smile after she shake her head to say NO. This shows that she knows that it is fun doing it, she can make the adult laugh.
Chinchillas - Old Photos
Downloaded these photos from one of the chin club member website few months back. Thought I should post something about my chinchillas also, not just Beatrice alone. These are my loved ones also. They have been with me for many years.I fell in love with these little creatures when they first came to Singapore 10 years ago. Chi Chi (BD:12-02-1997) was my first chinchilla, she was 3.5 months old when I bought her from Pet Kingdom. Few months later, I bought Chu Chu (BD:26-05-1997) to be her mate. A year later, they have their litters... Bu Bu & Bi Bi (BD:13-05-1998).
Both Chi Chi & Chu Chu are living with me at our new home. Both of them are in their old age, they are 10 years old this year. Bu Bu and Bi Bi have gone to Raisin Land on 30-May-2005 & 12-Dec-2002.
Both of them have been neglected badly since we have Beatrice. Really hope I can spend a little more time with them.
Playgroup with Raenen
Beatrice hop from N1 to playgroup to return Raenen his crocodile toy. Both of them are so sweet. Beatrice likes the crocodile toy, she is not willing to return it back to Raenen. Raenen was so willing to share his toy with her.
Headache
Having a little headache with my little one. For past 1 week, her daily schedule is all jumble up... She slept at 8pm at night and wakes up at 3am asking for milk & play & not willing to sleep in her cot. And my DH commented that she is still so young, don't torture her, give her milk. NO!! I don't want her to make it a habbit to wake up every night for milk.
And then for past few days, she was so sticky to me, not wanting others to carry... separation anxiety again? I thought I am already so near to leaving her alone in the nursery.
ArrGH!! Do I have to start the teaching cycle all over again??
I'm like the missing panda from the zoo now. Hmmm... wonder if MTM Custom-Blended Eye Mask is good?
And then for past few days, she was so sticky to me, not wanting others to carry... separation anxiety again? I thought I am already so near to leaving her alone in the nursery.

Ah Gong's Birthday
She was busy playing with her little fingers that night. My aunty (4D queen) observed her fingers play for 4 digit number and she managed to catch a set which my parents and aunties were so excited chipping in money to buy the following day. Haha... the number did not even appeared in the consulation prize.
She is learning to use her little fingers to pick up snacks but she still does not know how to place the snack into her mouth. Everytime I tried to guide her hand to her mouth, she would let go the snack instead.
Bought a set of this Munchkin suction bowl for her so that we can place her snack inside, keep her occupy while we can enjoy our food. Later stage she can learn to feed herself without topping over the bowl.

Both Mr Chng & little chng were down with flu for a few days. Sunday was truly a rest day for both of them. So Mother's Day was a simple dessert session at Compasspoint on Monday night. Since both of them have not fully recovered, they can only have the simple food while I can enjoy chewy chocolate ice-cream... yum YUM!
She has lost some weight after catching the long irritating virus. Thank God she is recovering and prayed that she will fully recover soon.

DE's Wedding Dinner
Brought Beatrice along to my boss's daugther wedding dinner. She was quite a good girl that day though it was a super long dinner... the main course was only served at 10pm and the whole dinner ends at 11.30pm. We try to carry her, play with her when the food is not served so as to keep her occupied. I also brought a few toys to keep her entertained. The only challenging part is to get her to drink MM from bottle while I was with her. We ended up bringing her out of the ballroom and "force" the bottle into her mouth so that she will drink.
Ethan Birthday Party at Gymboree
Let me introduce... this is Beatrice's favourite uncle... Uncle JX. She can remember him though she only gets to see him once in a while.
Bubble game...
Beatrice also play a part in the bubble game by helping the big brothers and sisters to hold the parachute... hahaha
The Stash
This photo is my time & effort for Beatrice... mother's love. Going to start using the stash. Had reduce the number of times to pump at work place, daily output is less than daily consumption.
I don't have surplus supply but I remember Abishag told me got to be diligent. This stash was built from part of her daily "missed" feed when she started to sleep thru 6 hours from 2 weeks old. This stash is enough to meet her daytime feed for a month without me pumping at workplace.
A few moms from chat group encourage taking a photo of the stash before using which I think it is a good idea. This is gonna be a memory. And I really wonder will I be so diligent to do the same for the next baby.

ROM Anniversary
Beatrice taking her evening nap while we can enjoy our dinner. It was a weekday so we decided to go for a simple dinner after fetching Beatrice. Dinner at Novena Velocity, Ichiban Boshi... quite a nice place, good service also.
Our family photo... I think she is more interested in the food on the table than the camera.
